This is GLORY!

Deuteronomy 32:4
"He is the Rock, his works are perfect,
and all his ways are just.
A faithful God who does no wrong,
upright and just is he."


Psalm 71:20-21
Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. You will increase my honor and comfort me once again.


There are so many things we will never understand this side of Heaven, but that is part of this life. Part of believing in the hope that Christ works everything out for the good of those who love Him.. believing that His plans for us are for our good.

Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.



Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord. "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."




For a looong time in the early days and months of Ansley's life, it was clear that her brain was not alive as it should be. My mind still cannot quite grasp that in those days, and in every excruciating moment, the Lord foreknew the GLORY awaiting us. We sat at dinner tonight reflecting on the prayer we have prayed so many times.. that the Lord would call Ansley's brain to life one. milestone. at. a. time. And He has!

Romans 4:17 "..The God who gives life to the dead and call things that are not as though they were."

My posts can have a tendency to be a little, um.. long winded, so I'm just going to dish out the facts because the Lord has been chipping away at this mountain and casting it into the sea in the name of Jesus Christ! So, here we go...

This past Monday, we had a meeting with Ansley's developmental specialist and the coordinator of the early intervention program. We set new goals for Ansley's development, as is standard for the program, and her specialist (that sees her weekly) joked that we would probably have to make new goals the very next week because she always shatters them. I mentioned it was because the Lord has chosen her to show His power through... and she said, "YES, HE DID." This is the same person, who in the beginning, was visibly uncomfortable and would quickly try to change the subject when I mentioned anything about the Lord, much less our prayers for Him for heal her. It was probably a subconscious moment for her, but for me.. it spoke volumes. She acknowledged the power and presence of God in Ansley's life, and most likely without realizing it. The Lord touched Ansley's arms and legs that very night (are you starting to see a trend here?) and the next morning... she took off!! Crawling across the room, pulling up and standing up on any and everything she wanted to. Literally, overnight--Ansley started crawling. God is blowing us and her specialists away.



Ephesians 3:20 now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

Ansley's next neurology appointment is July 8th. We had been praying she would be standing and saying mama and dada by then. At the time, we prayed this knowing it would take a complete act of God--a HUGE miracle. In the past few weeks, God has already! pushed her so far beyond this.

Ansley at 10 months old, is a perfectly healthy, perfectly normal 10 month old baby girl. This is mind boggling to every specialist that works with her.

Things the Lord has called to be in the past few of weeks:

- she is crawling all over, pulling up to stand, and fully mobile
- she signed "all done"
- she is calling Zachary baba (brother), me momma and Rob dada. (she is talking already! And to think that 6 months ago we were told to prepare for the possibility that she may never talk)
-she says uh-oh appropriately and says "baba" when she waves bye bye
- she is appropriately shaking her head no when she doesn't want something
- when we ask her to turn the page in storytime, she does it
-when we ask, "What does a dog say?" She smiles and then pants like a dog
- responds to "give daddy/mommy etc a kiss"

By God's power and God's grace, our daughter is crawling, talking and showing every age appropriate sign of mental development! All of these things have just been poured out in her life the past few weeks. We kept wanting to write a post, then she would do something new, then something else... There was so much to say, we decided to save it all for one post in hopes that the magnitude of God's hand in her life would be undeniable. Praise the Lord for the great things He has done!

It's been awhile, so here are some recent pictures : )

We recently went to an awesome nature center a short drive from our house and had such a great time.

This cute little kid cabin had a "Z" on the little window, so Zachary thought the house was made for him.. and loved it!





Stopping for a little snack. Those boys need their fuel!!





We went to Panera afterwards for dinner. As soon as Zachary swallowed his last bite.. he was at Ansley's side.

On a recent Target excursion, Zachary desperately wanted to wear his "racing goggles". He has created a new game where we must wear his construction goggles (he has 3) and race around the downstairs. Oh, the games kids come up with!





THE DAY the Lord showed, once again, that through Him ALL THINGS (Matthew 19:26) ARE POSSIBLE. What You have done in our girl... thank you, Jesus!

GOD IS GOOD! It is such a joy and so uplifting to read your blog. She is a living, breathing testimony of God's healing power and of the power of prayer. Praise the Lord!!

WOW! That is so amazing and I am so happy reading this!!! Just wonderful. I can't wait to see what else she amazes us with!!! Also...cutest jammies EVER in that last picture...gotta love a little tutu :)
